Gift of Life
Since 2004, the Nicklas Foundation has been able to offer housing to 70+ families awaiting a life-saving organ transplant. Thanks to the continued support of the DeBaun family, volunteers, supporters and employees of the Nicklas Foundation, in the last two years alone, The Landings of Carrier Parkway has been privileged to have housed 23 families which have had 18 successful organ transplants. These families have come from New York, Oklahoma, Texas, California, North Carolina, Mississippi, Missouri, Kansas, Louisiana and New Mexico to stay at our complex while they wait for an acceptable organ. The organ transplants have included hearts, kidneys, lungs, double lungs and a liver.

The 8th Annual Nicklas Foundation Charity Golf Tournament was held on September 23rd at Tangle Ridge Golf Course in Grand Prairie, Tx. We had a total of 33 teams, sponsors, volunteers and donors participating in this year’s event. Proceeds from the tournament will assist the foundation in housing transplant families and promoting organ donor awareness. The tournament generated enough funds that we were able to contribute $4,655 to the Hearts and Hoses Foundation and $4,655 to the Crisis Response Ministry. We wish to thank everyone that had a part in making this year’s event a huge success. Pictures from the event are below.
