The Nicklas Foundation held it’s 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on September 27, 2019 at Grand Prairie’s premier Tangle Ridge Golf Course. We had a record breaking event with a full tournament.
Special guests were actor Burton Gilliam who appeared in various TV shows and movies, including Blazing Saddles; golf & teaching pro, Michael Furrh who is also a 5-time Guinness Book of World Records holder; former MLB pitcher, Jeff Russell who played for the Cincinnati Reds and the Texas Rangers; and former MLB player, Mike Adams, who also played with the Texas Rangers.
Thanks to the efforts of many generous sponsors, players, and donors, we were able to house two families for one year, donate $16,000.00 to Grand Prairie Santa Cop and $16,000.00 to Crisis Response Ministry. We will also be awarding scholarship money.
